Windfall Recording is a full-service professional recording facility which creates an atmosphere conducive to comfort while recording. In addition to state-of-the-art analog & digital equipment & a selection of vintage equipment, Windfall Recording has a large live room with 15' ceilings & seven isolation rooms. The spacious 24' by 20' control room is flanked by a lounge (darts, anyone?) with service kitchen and full bath.
Nestled on over 16 acres of forested hillside, you can take advantage of 1.5 miles of hiking trails and link to the beautiful Finger Lakes Trail. In addition to sightings of deer, wild turkey, fox, pheasant, raccoons, hawks & more you can spot over 25 species of birds. At night, star-gazing is a must. Seasonal meteor/asteroid showers are not to be missed.
Hammondsport was voted Coolest Small Town in America in 2012 for a reason! This picturesque village is just minutes away by car or within a pleasant walk-about distance. Go for a swim in the crystal waters of Keuka Lake, or enjoy the area's many fine restaurants, museums and antique shops.
The Finger Lakes Region is a Riesling capitol & host to many Wineries all of which offer wine-tasting, and many offer tours. Craft Micro-Breweries are on the rise in the Region as well…we not only have a Finger Lakes Wine Trail but a Finger Lakes Beer Trail.
Owner/Engineer Ben Ridley began his musical path as an avid drummer & music fan which led him to the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, OH where he honed his Recording skills. Ben left the Workshop & moved to Detroit, MI where he set up BoneYard Studios. The allure of Keuka Lake brought Ben back to Hammondsport in the Early 2000’s and he’s been happily recording since.
